Transformation from the inside out

-What is Ashtanga Yoga?

-How is it taught?

-What do I bring to class?

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional yoga routine and series, linking dynamic postures through breath.

K.P. Jois developed and taught Ashtanga Yoga beginning in 1948 in Mysore India and it has been growing globally.

We begin our practice with Sun salutations, standing poses then move through seated, inverted and supine asanas (poses).

Typically taught in the Mysore style, one learns the postures from the teacher directly in an open timeslot where students practice at their own skill, ability, energy level and experience.

Yoga not only builds strength, flexibility and balance but also has a positive effect on internal organs, mood, and overall wellness.

Having a regular practice builds confidence and dismantles limiting beliefs. With practice, persistence, the right growing environment your yoga practice can positively feed other aspects of your life.

New and novice yoga practitioners invited. Prepare to be challenged, invigorated and delighted with the magic that happens both on and off the mat.
